Step 1

Awareness

The Awareness Stage is where you become aware of your over-reliance on sugar, processed carbs, junk-food. After all, nobody is born knowing the damage that is caused by over consumption of these foods.


Step 2

Education

You are now aware of the dangers, but you’re still in the early stages of figuring out how to tackle your challenge and learning more about what you’re facing. You begin the journey of identifying your emotional eating triggers, as well as specific food and beverages that are addictive to you, as well as identify environments and people that are contributing to your addiction.  


Step 3

Preparation

You’re now going to prepare for your transformation from being sugar, processed carb, junk-food reliant to being free of the need and cravings. You will prepare your environment, you will prepare for what you will eat and alternatives, you will prepare with how you will speak about your choices, you will prepare your mindset and what precisely to do if you have an emotional eating, or craving attack, and how to handle yourself if you succumb to eating or drinking it (and how to turn that into a win.)


Step 4

Reduction

You begin to make changes to your life routine, how you deal with time stress, and anxiety, as well as adjustments to your daily eating and reduction, or complete elimination (especially if you have been given medical advice to do so) of sugar, processed carb, junk-food from your diet.    


Step 5

Ascend

The Ascend stage of the Eliminating Food Addiction Journey is where you are ready to create and experience long-term success completely free of sugar, processed carb and junk-food over reliance or urges. Here is where you’ll be in such balance that your body will crave nutritious foods so you’ll find yourself educating yourself on the more specific ways you can live even healthier.
