Cooling down in the Summer can seem like a breeze when you have a refreshing cup of my Sugar-Free Strawberry Summer Lemonade Recipe! It’s keto, vegan, low-carb, diabetes-friendly, all-natural and 100% sugar-free, with only a few simple ingredients needed! Take a break from the summer sun with this sweet, tart, and lemony-delicious lemonade!

Lemonade is a summer staple for my family… its light and refreshing flavor cools you right down, and gives you a burst of sweet and slightly tangy flavor.

Making Strawberry Lemonade Sugar-Free

Lemonade gives me such happy summer vibes - especially since I live in sunny side Florida with our homegrown citrus!

But, as you probably already know… I don’t do sugary drinks - the solution? I made my own sugar-free lemonade right at home.

But, before I get to that lemonade recipe, actually I have a fun fact for you.

Did you know that drinking a cold cup of regular lemonade to cool you down and hydrate you is a big mistake? This is because the sugar actually dehydrates you.

When you consume sweet foods and drinks, the sugar will enter the bloodstream and begins to circulate through the body. Those sugar particles then suck the water from your body's cells, depleting your internal water supply. Basically, if you’re out in the heat and looking to hydrate, regular lemonade won’t do you any favors.

Hidden Sugar in Lemonade

Drinks like fruit juice – and undoubtedly lemonade – are just sugar in sweet disguise.

Most store-bought and even homemade lemonades have a ton of added sugar in them to give them their sweeter flavor. And if you’ve seen a few of those options for sugar-free lemonade at stores? Unfortunately, most pre-made sugar-free lemonade drinks are made with artificial flavors and artificial sweeteners, with nasty side effects. Yucky, NO thank you!

So if you’re looking to enjoy lemonade as a refreshing drink, you need to get rid of that sugar. And luckily you can do that easily with my no sugar lemonade recipe that has a cooling strawberry blast twist!

Sugar-Free Strawberry Summer Lemonade

  • prep time: 5 minute
  • cook time: 15 minutes
  • total time: 20 minutes

Servings: 5

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice (fresh)
  • 1 cup fresh mint *optional to taste
  • 10-15 drops of Liquid Stevia⁣
  • 4 cups of water (still or sparkling)
  • ice cubes to taste
  • lemon slices *optional

HOW TO MAKE IT:

  1. Place everything frozen berries, lemon juice, stevia, water, ice cubes and optional mint and lemon slices.
  2. Leave for at least 15 minutes, or for best results leave in the fridge overnight. Pour through sieve and serve in glass with ice and enjoy!
  3. Note: Feel free to refill the bottle and repeat the steps 2-3 times and make more lemonade as long as there is some flavor left!
